Classification of Accelerometers
The piezoelectric accelerometer, also known as a piezoelectric accelerometer, is also classified as an inertial sensor. The principle of the piezoelectric accelerometer is to utilize the piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramics or quartz crystals. When the accelerometer is subjected to vibration, the force applied to the piezoelectric element by the mass block also changes accordingly. When the frequency of the measured vibration is much lower than the inherent frequency of the accelerometer, the change in force is proportional to the measured acceleration.

Application cases of accelerometers
Seismic sensors are specialized sensors used for geological exploration and engineering measurement. They convert ground vibrations into electrical signals, transforming the ground vibrations caused by seismic waves into electrical signals, which are then converted into binary data through an analog-to-digital converter for data organization, storage, and processing. Accelerometers are electronic devices capable of measuring acceleration, typically used in Mobile phones, laptops, pedometers, and motion detection.

The working principle of the accelerometer
The principle of the linear accelerometer is Newton's second law, which is the law of acceleration, that is, the balance of forces, A (acceleration) = F (inertial force) / M (mass). We only need to measure F. How to measure F? We can balance this force using electromagnetic force. This allows us to obtain the relationship between F and current. We just need to calibrate this proportionality constant through experiments. Of course, the signal transmission, amplification, and filtering in between are matters of the circuit.

Installation Precautions for Accelerometers
The natural frequency of the accelerometer is determined by the degree of coupling of the adhesive used, so choosing the right adhesive will be an important step. Some important issues that must be considered include: the weight of the accelerometer, the frequency and bandwidth during testing, the amplitude and temperature during testing. It is also necessary to consider some issues that may arise during the testing process: the limitation of the sine wave and the random vibrations that occur during testing. Generally, engineers and technicians will choose the appropriate adhesive to bond the accelerometer based on the different testing requirements.
