The natural frequency of the accelerometer is determined by the degree of coupling of the adhesive used, so choosing the right adhesive will be an important step. Some important issues that must be considered include: the weight of the accelerometer, the frequency and bandwidth during testing, the amplitude and temperature during testing. It is also necessary to consider some issues that may arise during the testing process: the limitation of the sine wave and the random vibrations that occur during testing. Generally, engineers and technicians will choose the appropriate adhesive to bond the accelerometer based on the different testing requirements.

The natural frequency of the accelerometer is determined by the degree of coupling of the adhesive used. Choosing the right adhesive will be an important step. Some important issues that must be considered are: the weight of the accelerometer, the frequency and bandwidth during testing, the amplitude and temperature during testing. Also, some issues that may arise during the testing process should be considered: the limitation of the sine wave and the random vibrations that occur during testing. Generally, engineers and technicians will choose the appropriate adhesive to bond the accelerometer based on the different testing requirements.
The adhesives used for bonding the accelerometer generally include cyanoacrylate, magnets, double-sided tape, paraffin, hot melt adhesives, etc. The key issue is how to effectively use these adhesives. In the bonding process of the accelerometer, the amount of adhesive used plays a crucial role in whether the accelerometer can achieve good frequency response. Using the least amount of adhesive possible on a small film to bond the accelerometer will ensure the best frequency response transmission of the accelerometer.
Before installing the sensor, the surface to be installed should be cleaned with a hydrocarbon solution. When installing the sensor, cyanoacrylate, magnets, double-sided tape, and paraffin are usually used. They should be evenly applied to the surface being bonded to the accelerometer, not too thick or too thin; the appropriate thickness will achieve a good bonding effect. There are many precautions when using hot melt adhesives, the most important being to pay attention to the curing time of the hot melt adhesive during the installation process.
Of course, when using adhesive installation, it is important to note that it is best not to use adhesives when approaching the maximum limit temperature; it should be delayed for a period of time before use, otherwise, the adhesive itself may be damaged, leading to a decrease in the tensile strength of the adhesive. In any case, when we use the adhesive method to install the accelerometer, all limiting factors must be taken into account. Similarly, the installation of the above accelerometer is only applicable to most situations; some special equipment for measuring acceleration requires the most suitable sensor installation method.
